If you wish to supply your own DJ for a function, Stargazer can very swiftly provide you with all the equipment you are likely to need.

We have a huge range of sound, lighting and special effects, all at competitive prices. In most cases, we also offer free delivery, set-up, demonstration and collection.

The lists on this page will give you a good idea of the items we stock. However, we are always updating our range, so if you do not see the item you want, there is every chance that we still might have it. Please give us a call. It really could not be easier...


You can place you order over the phone and make full payment to our driver on delivery.

Please note that in addition to the hire fee, which must be paid in cash on delivery, we also require a One Hundred Pound returnable holding deposit.

This can also be paid in cash, or if you prefer, you can give us the holding deposit in the form of a cheque supported by a banker’s card.

Our driver will also ask you for 2 forms of current ID showing your name and address (bank or credit card statement, driving licence or a utility bill.)

Unfortunately, we do not accept credit cards, either in advance or on the day.

Sound System Hire

We offer 2 different audio packages
both include a 4-channel mixer and a microphone.

Depending on the system chosen - see table below - you can dock two additional sound souces into our mixers - for example iPods / iPads or laptops

The Medium System, rated at 440 watts, is what 95% of our customers hire and is more than adequate for most parties of up to 200 guests.

The Large System - 880 watts is supplied with two amplifiers and four speakers. (This is only recommended for very large events, where there are more than 200 guests.)

We supply all necessary leads and extensions.

All prices in the table below include free delivery (within 15 miles of our Barking Head Office), set-up, demonstration and collection.

If any delivery charges apply we will advise at the time of your intial enquiry. It will only be a nominal extra amount to cover fuel.


To upgrade from a medium to a large sound system please add £60 to your chosen system. NB Only really necessary for 200 or more guests..

To add Technics SL1200 Turntables, please add £20 per turntable as required.

Karaoke Equipment Hire

Our karaoke machines not only play the karaoke discs that we supply, it will also play your own shop bought CDs and any CDRs you have burned on your computer.

PLUS ... You can also dock your iPod or play laptop though it, enabling you to be the DJ and instantly to switch from karaoke to music for dancing.

Free delivery, set-up, demo and collection is always included in our hire fee.

Please don't forget to mention the words "Karaoke Equipment Hire" when asking for a quote.

Please note also that we can also supply some disco lights to go with the karaoke equipment, at very little extra cost.

Please note : As we are all working DJ's ourselves, so unless for some reason we are not working, we will always make sure that we deliver your equipment nice and early on the day of the function.

If you have access to your venue, we can deliver it there. However, if you prefer, we are equally happy to deliver, set up and demonstrate the gear at your home. This will allow you ample time to familiarise yourself with the equipment before use.

Collection is usually the following day, either from the venue or again from your home.

NB: It is your responsibility to keep the equipment safe at all times. Only leave it at a venue if you are 100% certain it is secure. Any losses for any reason will be chargeable in full.

Similarly, please do not leave any gear covered up on the back seat of your car, in your porch, garden shed, marquee etc. Please bring it indoors, where it is safe and dry.

If our driver finds that you have deliberately left any equipment in an insecure location, you will understand if we are reluctant to hire to you again.

Getting a Quote

Particularly with disco equipment, lighting or karaoke equipment hire is concerned, when there are quite a few options to consider, we would much prefer to discuss your requirements with you in person over the phone.

If you call, you will be speaking directly to one of the hire team who can instantly check availability and prices and answer all your questions about the equipment. He will very likely also suggest some options which you may not have considered.
